MY WORKPLACE CONFLICT RESOLUTION TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR MANAGERS AND HR PROFESSIONALS
Mediator Crystal Thorpe, of Agreement Resources LLC in Norwood, and I have teamed up to
provide day-long interactive Workplace Conflict Resolution Workshops for Managers and HR Professionals.
Statistics reflect that about 50% of employee turnover results from unresolved workplace conflict. Unresolved workplace conflict wastes employee and management time, impedes productivity and team work, and can lead to expensive lawsuits. In contrast, effectively handled workplace conflict can foster the honest communication and creativity that helps an organization grow, and can significantly decrease litigation costs.
Our Workshop attendees learn practical skills and techniques to effectively resolve workplace conflicts. Among other things they learn to:
- Elicit the hidden interests and needs that underlie a dispute
- Help employees depersonalize the conflict and move beyond the angers and misunderstandings of the past
- Lead employees to work together in problem solving
- Assist disputants in agreeing on specific measures that will allow them work harmoniously together in the future
- Foster effective employee communication
Our Workshop attendees get the opportunity to practice the techniques we teach in interactive role plays, which are always illuminating as well as very enjoyable. Our attendees return to their work with many new skills, ideas and insights which can utilized in many different situations.
